6-1-PHO

If you’re looking for something new try, I suggest trying out 6-1-Pho. They’re bringing us delicious Vietnamese street food in a modern, fast-casual style. By allowing us to pick and choose what we want, they take the pressure off of getting outside your normal comfort zone when it comes to food.

Something you may not know, 6-1-Pho was started by husband and wife, Lisa Bui & Ian Capotosta – not a big corporation. They had a dream and followed it, both bringing different restaurant experience to the table, along with Lisa’s family recipes passed down by generations. Between the dynamic food, the gorgeous atmosphere and the friendly employees, you’ll be wondering why you haven’t visited sooner!

When you walk in, you will notice they are set-up similar to Chipotle. When you all up to the counter, you will see a menu filled with many options. That is what is great. You can be as adventurous as you want because everything is customized to your liking, taking the intimidation out of the process.

I’m not sure I can pick a favorite dish, but, if I had to – I would go with the Chicken Bahn-Mi (soy marinated pulled chicken, chili paste, pickled carrots & daikon, cucumbers, cilantro, & a swipe of mayonnaise) or the Cha Gio (three egg rolls with shiitake mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, & onion, deep fried with a side of sweet dipping sauce).

No wait, maybe it was the noodle salad bowl (cold vermicelli noodles over a bed of lettuce, mint and cucumber with your choice of protein. served with a side of cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon, crushed peanuts, Thai basil, cilantro and a side of sweet dressing). The noodle bowl was a great option for a warm day, sitting on their patio. Yep, they have a great patio, facing High St! It paired perfectly with their Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese iced coffee from cafe du monde, french pressed over ice, condensed milk, & sugar).

They haven’t forgotten the little ones. By adding on kid bowls, this may just be your families new favorite fast casual spot for dinner! Also a good option if you are looking for a smaller portion.
