Conveniently located in Uptown Westerville, Northstar offers a beautiful interior with friendly staff and exceptional food and service. You’ll also find their own artwork on display, adding to the unique ambiance.
If you’re looking for fresh juice, I highly recommend trying the Shooting Star. For coffee lovers, they offer single origin coffee with free refills, and also have cold-brew available. The Ginger Ale is a house-made drink that is much more ginger-forward than canned ginger ale, with a bit of spice to it. It’s definitely worth a try!
The ambiance of this corner is simply dreamy, with its abundant natural light and beautiful colors. Surprisingly, it always seems to be unoccupied whenever I visit – almost like it’s meant to be mine.
I suggest finding a breakfast buddy who is willing to share, so that you can try everything on the menu. During my visit, I ordered the Mushroom Frittata and swapped the breakfast potatoes for a ricotta pancake – a modification I didn’t know was possible. I typically prefer a savory breakfast, so this was the perfect balance for me. However, after posting a picture of my meal on Instagram, a follower suggested subbing the biscuit for bacon. That idea never even crossed my mind, but it sounds like a delicious option. All in all, a perfect breakfast!
The Mushroom Frittata at this restaurant is a must-try. Made with three organic eggs from Valley, it’s hearth baked with roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, and gruyere, resulting in a savory and delicious flavor that’s sure to be addicting. Served with breakfast potatoes and a fresh biscuit, the dish is complete with a dollop of Michigan black cherry preserves on the side, adding a touch of sweetness to the meal.
Northstar’s Breakfast Potatoes are a standout dish that never disappoints. These potatoes are expertly cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. One of the best parts is that they are never undercooked, which is a pet peeve for many potato lovers. There is also a hint of pepper that adds a unique flavor profile to the dish. While it’s hard to pinpoint the exact type of pepper, it has both sweet and spicy notes that blend perfectly with the potatoes.
The Cloud Nine Pancakes at Northstar are a must-try. These fluffy and indulgent ricotta pancakes are served with real maple syrup and sliced bananas, making for a delicious breakfast treat.
