The summer is here! Finally! If you were like me, you may have thought summer was never coming based on the amount of rainy days we were having. But, it is here and I am excited for all of the adventures to come. Before I dive into our first big summer adventure we had over the Fourth of July, I have to share one thing I learned the hard way!

Now, on to our first summer adventure — a weekend at the lake. Recently, my mom and step-dad purchased a house on Indian Lake. If you’re not familiar, Indian Lake is about an hour away from Columbus, making it the perfect day or weekend trip.

While most of the holiday weekend was bright, sunny and hot — our time at the lake was mostly cloudy. Perfect for a long boat ride on their new pontoon boat. The girls absolutely loved it, even falling asleep about mid way through both rides! I had no idea Indian Lake was as big as it was nor as shallow *as I found out.*

Don’t worry, we do have life jackets for all three girls!

Right before we went not their first boat ride, we had to capture how excited they were! The smiles only continued as we ventured around the lake.

Back to the batteries and why I choose these two variety of batteries to power up our first summer adventure at the lake. First off, QUALITY! I needed batteries that were going to last.
