Bowling at Star Lanes
Star Lanes is one of the nicest bowling spots in Columbus. They offer 20 state of the art lanes, one-of-a-kind decor, arcade featuring over 50 modern & classic games, delicious food and more! They used to do $2 bowling on Monday, but it looks like they don’t do that anymore. BUMMER! However, they still have fun specials throughout the week.
Two specials I think will be useful for having kids home during week are:
All Day on Monday – 1/2 price shoe rental & 1/2 price hourly bowling. During the week, that would make it $15/lane (not per person)
Pins, Pop-a-Shot & Pizza – Weekdays, 11AM – 3PM, For $15, children ages 12 and under will receive a kid’s meal, game of bowling and shoes and a $5 arcade game card. You can add on an XD Dark Ride ticket for $5 more. I did that a few weeks ago with my girlfriends and it was so much fun!

For Kids: Nature Scavenger Hunt
No school today? Stop by the nature center anytime between 10 am and 12 pm to pick up a nature scavenger hunt. Everyone wins a small prize. Ages 3 and older. Program meets at Nature Center.

Tots in Tow Playgroup – Art Class
Join us for an Itty Bitty Art class at the Houston House! There are fun hands-on activities for children 18 months to 3 years of age.

Musical Storytime
Sing songs, move our bodies, dance to different styles of music, read sing-along books, and play musical instruments!
Musical Storytime with Kay is always a treat. She’ll lead the children (and adults) through some familiar favorites, as well as some new easy to follow tunes woven perfectly into children’s books. With instruments and shakers for the kids to use there is something for every age at this event.

Tent Tales
Join us in our L.L.Bean Tent for story-time at your local L.L.Bean store! During each session, we’ll explore a different nature or outdoor theme, followed by related activities, games or crafts.

Ohio Wildlife Center Wild Story Time
Bring your preschooler for Wild Story Time! We meet an Animal Ambassador, read a book, and enjoy a craft that pairs with the theme for that day. Spend some time after the story to visit with the other Animal Ambassadors at our Center.

Toddler Time with Fine Motor Friday
During Toddler Time on Friday mornings we will put out fine motor activities for your little one to enjoy. Each week we will bring out various activities, such as puzzles, sorting, clothes pins, prehandwriting, etc.

Fun Gym at Galaxy Games & Golf
This spot has a ton for the kiddos to do. While they have an awesome animal themed outdoor golf course, inside they have arcade games and a 3500 sq. foot, three level fun gym. There are tunnels, slides, ball pit and more.

Pre-school Open Jump
The Bounce Club is a trampoline park in Powell. I love that it is all one level and easy to keep eyes on the kids. They have foam pits in the front and typically during the open jump, they have a few other things out. This is open play for children ages 6 and under and also for siblings up to age 10. *Typically when I took my nanny kiddos, I rarely saw older kids as they were in school.

Play at The Shops at Worthington
There are two play areas at The Shops at Worthington Place: one inside and one outside – both next to each other. The indoor play area is more for climbing, while they outside is Johnny Appleseed theme and has a house to play in and apple facts scattered throughout the gated area.
Tip: Order Panera ahead of time and schedule to pick it up from the you-pick up area. It will be sitting on a shelf ready to go when you get there. Just grab it (inside the mall) and there are a ton of greeting seating options throughout the mall!
