Westerville is home to a few of my most favorite parks and playgrounds. Really, Westerville is home to a lot of favorite places in general! It just has so much to offer from food to events to parks to wine shops (Hi Meza!). Before I get off track, let’s get back to the details – a SUPER friendly toddler park. Friendly enough that I braved taking all three girls alone.
Towers Park, located at County Line & Spring Rd., has got a lot going on. You’ll see a bunch of baseball fields right off the bat if you enter from County Line. Plus, there’s plenty of open space to run around, a walking/bike path, and of course, a sweet playground with different areas for babes (6-23 months), little ones (2-5 years), and bigger kids (5 and up, unless you’ve got a serious climber on your hands). There’s probably more to explore, but we were having too much fun to check out the other side of the park!
I checked out this park a few years ago with my niece, and it came to mind when I was thinking of where to take the girls. The toddler area has two different play structures – one for little ones and one for slightly older kiddos. You don’t usually see many structures for kids under 2, but this one is ground-level and easy for them to play on. The other structure is for kids 2 and up, and it has a few stairs but nothing too high. I was comfortable letting the girls climb up on their own. The structures are wide and not too hot to the touch, and there’s some shade around them. They’re designed like little houses with cool details to keep the kids entertained – there are letters, musical instruments, and colorful glass balls.

I absolutely adore this play structure! One of the best features is that there aren’t any large gaps up top that make it easy for little ones to fall off (yes, I admit I’m a bit of a helicopter mom!). The steps are also wide and have fences on each side, along with handrails for added safety. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into designing this playground. And let’s not forget about the vibrant colors and fun design – this playground has some serious pizzazz!
Right next to the 2-5 structure, they have a wooden musical toy. The girls were just tall enough to play with it. However, they did try to put the wand in their mouths. Gross. #toddlerlife
Swings, the girls favorite! There are six swings, which include 4 bigger swing, 1 baby swing and 1 adaptive swing with a 5-point harness.
This feature is seriously awesome! Not only is it absolutely stunning (I mean, doesn’t it sort of look like a giant pineapple?), but it also provides ample shade and comes equipped with tables and chairs. It’s the perfect spot for a picnic or a quick break from playtime. And the best part? It’s conveniently located right smack dab in the middle of the playgrounds and swings, so you won’t have to go far to enjoy it!
They had a bunch of really pretty flowers planted around the play area. I thought this was a beautiful touch. The girls loved going up and smelling them.

From the parking lot, this is the view of the playground. Although this picture may make it appear farther away than it actually is, do keep in mind that the entrance can be a bit hidden by trees as you turn into the lot from Spring Rd. As I mentioned earlier, there is another parking lot on County Line that I believe is the main entrance. While it’s not a far walk and there’s a lovely path, the lot closer to the playground is much more convenient!
Address: 161 N. Spring Street
There are actually two entrances. One is on County Line, but this entrance is much closer to the playground!
Keep in mind there are pretty big power towers above the park and you can hear the electricity running through them. It’s not a safety issue, but if you don’t like repetitive noises – this might be annoying. I noticed a small snapping noise when we first got there, but eventually it faded out. Either I just got used to it or maybe it stopped for a bit. Just a warning in case something like that might affect your time at the playground!
