Halloween is almost here, and there are so many fun ways to celebrate around Columbus! I’ve rounded up public trunk-or-treat events happening throughout Columbus and the surrounding suburbs, other fun trick-or-treat style events, along with official neighborhood trick-or-treat and Beggars’ Night times for 2026.
You’ll find free community events, church trunk-or-treats, sensory-friendly options and larger Halloween celebrations happening in Dublin, Hilliard, Powell, New Albany, Pickerington and more. I’ll continue updating this list as new events are announced or details change!
Mark your calendar for Powell’s Best Trunk or Treat
Thank you to KSM Sports and Fitness Indoor Facility for sponsoring this year’s guide. KSM gives kids a positive place to train, play and grow through speed and agility training, flag football, summer camps, birthday parties and more. For more than 20 years, they’ve helped Powell-area kids stay active, build confidence and strengthen their athletic skills.
Looking for a fun and easy way to celebrate Halloween with the kids? Powell’s Best Trunk or Treat is bringing families together for a free afternoon filled with costumes, candy and Halloween fun!
Along with trunk-or-treating, families can enjoy a pumpkin bounce house, balloon twisting, crafts and prizes. Even better, everything takes place inside the KSM Sports & Fitness facility, so you won’t have to worry about chilly temperatures or rainy October weather.
Children of all ages are welcome, so grab those costumes and candy buckets and get ready for a fun afternoon in Powell!
Dublin’s Halloween Spooktacular returns with two days of family-friendly Halloween fun! In addition to the trunk-or-treat trail, families can enjoy a hay maze, games, crafts, entertainment and other activities throughout Coffman Park.
The overall event is free and open to the public
Complimentary timed tickets are required for the trunk-or-treat trail
Tickets are initially released to Dublin residents
Any remaining tickets may be released to school-district residents and nonresidents
Friday from 1–1:30 p.m. is sensory-friendly, with smaller crowds and reduced lights and sounds
Some food and activities may have an additional cost
Primrose Mill Run Trunk or Treat

Primrose School of Hilliard at Mill Run: 4230 Trueman Boulevard, Hilliard, OH 43026
Primrose School of Hilliard at Mill Run is hosting a family-friendly evening of decorated trunks and treats.
Gym Skills is transforming its parking lot into a festive trunk-or-treat experience! Families can come dressed in costume, collect candy and enjoy a fun Halloween evening with the community.
Palace Theatre: 34 W. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215
Explore a Halloween-themed version of the historic Palace Theatre while celebrating the venue’s 100th anniversary! Kids can wear their costumes and collect goodies from trick-or-treat stations throughout the theater. Families can also enjoy crafts, selfie stations, costumed characters, creatures from the Ohio School of Falconry and entertainment from local arts organizations.
Businesses throughout Bridge Park will line the streets and hand out candy and other goodies during this free community trick-or-treat event. Families can also enjoy a costume competition, face painting, a balloon artist and additional Halloween activities.

Worthington Village Green: Intersection of High Street and East/West Granville Road, Worthington, OH 43085
Celebrate Halloween in Old Worthington with a trick-or-treat trail, carnival games, crafts, live performances, cider pressing, balloon artists and more.
They’ll have a variety of festive fall and Halloween-themed games, activities, and delicious treats for the whole family to enjoy. You can look forward to a caramel apple bar, cotton candy machine, apple cider and more! The Trunk or Treat will be taking place in the school parking lot, so come dressed in your favorite costume and get ready to collect some goodies!
Halloween at The Little Grand: Fall Fest Weekend
Friday, October 23–Sunday, October 25 | Noon–6 p.m. daily

Make The Little Grand Market one of your Halloween weekend stops! Kids can paint a mini pumpkin and then trick-or-treat their way through all 10 of the market’s chef partners. Grown-ups can also enjoy special seasonal drinks from the bar throughout the weekend.

Uptown Marysville transforms into “Scarysville” for a morning of family-friendly Halloween fun! Children can wear costumes and visit participating Uptown businesses for candy and Halloween goodies.

Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center: 4340 Tamarack Boulevard, Columbus, OH 43229
Kids can trick-or-treat at stations throughout the shelter while enjoying crafts, games and other Halloween activities. Families can also participate in reverse trick-or-treating by giving treats to adoptable dogs.

Wear your costumes and follow the Halloween Candy Trail through Historic Dublin! Participating shops and restaurants will hand out candy while supplies last. Families can also enjoy a spooky dance party and Halloween scream-along on the Dublin Branch Library plaza beginning at 2 p.m.

The outdoor Lifestyle Center at Polaris will host a free Halloween celebration with family activities, inflatables, pumpkin painting, character appearances, costume contests and a beer garden for adults.

Bierman Autism Centers is hosting a free sensory-friendly trunk-or-treat designed to offer families a calmer and more welcoming Halloween experience. Children can collect treats from decorated trunks and enjoy games, crafts and face painting.
Adventure Park: 260 Adventure Park Drive, Powell, OH 43065
Local businesses and community organizations will fill Adventure Park with decorated vehicles and plenty of candy during Powell’s annual Candy by the Carload.
Join in on a special Halloween-themed storytime, then trick-or-treat through the library. Come in costume for extra fun!

Whether you’re looking for a large community celebration, a church trunk-or-treat, a sensory-friendly experience or traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Halloween around Columbus this year!
