What’s in Store for You?
From 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, immerse yourself in a plethora of cultural and arts activities that promise to engage and entertain. Following this, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, enjoy a free performance of Havana Hop, a delightful theater show perfect for children in Pre-K through 3rd grade – but, open to all ages!
Havana Hop, created by the award-winning artist Paige Hernandez, follows the journey of Young Yeila, a young girl dreaming of stardom but struggling with stage fright. With guidance from her mother and mentors, Yeila embarks on a journey to discover her roots. Join her as she visits her grandmother in Cuba, adding a salsa twist to her hip-hop style. This dynamic participation play invites the audience to dance along as one actress embodies three generations of lively women. Experience the joy of multicultural heritage through Yeila’s eyes.
