Inspiring spots within your reach. This is the tagline of my blog. My goal is to help inspire you to get out there and try something new. Go somewhere new. Experience something new. Meet someone new. Columbus is a city filled with endless possibilities and opportunities. Everyday, I look for inspiration.
For some, social media is an escape from work or a distraction from something you don’t want to do. For me, it is a huge source of inspiration — if you know where to look. One of my favorite social media tools is instagram. When I log in, the first thing I do is scroll through my newsfeed. I follow SO MANY inspirational people, mostly Columbus based. I feel like I am finding something new to do every day in Columbus just based on my IG feed.
If you’re looking for inspiration on a daily basis, here are few instagrams I am semi-stalking for new ideas. Yes, I said semi-stalking. It’s fine.
Not only do I love viewing Columbus through their eyes, I love that they are LIVING LIFE! One of my favorite quotes from the Book, “Let’s Do This!” by Kevin Ngo says, “If you don’t make the time to work on creating the life you want, you’re eventually going to be forced to spend a LOT of time dealing with a life you DON’T want.” Each one of the IG accounts listed above are perfect examples of this.
The second thing I do is search a few different hashtags. This is such an easy way to learn about your City! A lot of people don’t use hashtags, which I won’t ever understand. It is my lifeline to finding you and what you’re all about!
My favorite hashtags are: #eat614 #asseenincolumbus #lifeincolumbus #lifeincbus #myohioadventure #drinkupcolumbus and #columbusalive.
Just from instagram alone, I have found my go-to blogs. In the past week or so, I have been inspired by so many of them. Here are a few of my favorite articles.
- Stacie at Little Adventures Cbus took her kiddos to The Grange Audubon Center downtown, inspiring me to head back down with my nanny kiddos.
- Turning up on a Tuesday isn’t just a catchy song lyric, its a real thing in Columbus. Amber & Lindsay at Basic Columbus are dishing out all the fun happenings on Tuesday nights this summer.
- Want to take a day trip? Amanda at Girl about Columbus took one to Kings Island and it looked like a blast! Looking up details to schedule my day!
- Our library system here in Columbus is amazing. Constantly updating and bringing us the best of the best. Without Signe at Say n Play Columbus, I would have never known the Parsons Library was updated.
- Rowdy college students and hipsters in skinny jeans scare you away from taking your kiddos to the Short North? Well, not anymore with Columbus Moms Blog dishing on Kid Friendly Places down there.
- Christina is bringing Columbus Housewives back! She is working hard to develop new networking ideas and venues! Her motivation is inspiring in itself.
Get out there! Get inspired! Be an inspiration! Love your city! Love yourself!
XOXO
