Toddler Music Class at Tree of Life Play + Cafe – Join Tree of Life Play + Cafe for a fun toddler music class located in their lower level cafe. The class will be hosted by Allegro Studios!

Free Self Defense Course –  Free 5 week Self Defense Course for all LGBTQIA People.  It will take place on Mondays for 2 hours from 6PM – 8 PM. During the class, you will learn mental, verbal AND physical self defense techniques. Its a great way to have fun, meet new people and learn how to take care of yourself and your community.  Preregistration requested by calling BRAVO 614-294-7867.

Tuesday, February 7th

Wine & Cinnamon Roll Pairing Camelot Cellars does it again with their genius pairings. Wine and Cinnamon Rolls?! I mean what more could you ask for? They have teamed up with Just Naturally Yummy Bakery & Catering Company, LLC to create 3 perfect pairings of wine and cinnamon rolls to keep your taste buds happy! Yoga and Cocktails – Join Le Meridien Columbus, The Joseph  for a complimentary session of yoga with CorePower Yoga followed by a specialty cocktail menu at Soul Bar. Unable to join us for this class? Mark your calendar to join them either the first or third Tuesday of the month from 7PM-8PM for Yoga and Cocktails.

Remembering Miss Rosa – Meet Bea Black, a young lady from Montgomery, Alabama. Listen as she describes the tumultous events of Montgomery in 1955, when another young lady, by the name of Rosa Parks decides to take a silent stand against discrimination and unfairness by refusing to rise from her seat. Takes place from 12pm – 1pm at the Ohio Statehouse.

Wednesday, February 8th

Maple Syruping – Join Friends of Slate Run Farm  and help the farmers tap maple trees for the upcoming syruping season. You will take a short walk to tap their sugar maple trees. While you’re there, you will have a chance to learn about making maple syrup and the importance of maple sugar to farm life in the 1880s. The best part? You will get to taste some farm made maple sugar. Yum!

Toddler Theater with Clifford – Join Miss Marlene- Dance and Sing at the Abbey Theater for a high-energy show of songs and silliness awaits you at Toddler Theater. Don’t let the name fool you– this concert is great for all kids age 1-5 and their big people. They feature a different costumed character at each concert in the series. Clifford will join you for this special Valentine’s Day concert. Kids are just $2 for this drop-in program.

Cocktails & The Art of Hand Lettering – Join Robert Mason Co. at Le Meridien Columbus, The Joseph for a fun workshop where they will help you learn the fun of Hand Lettering and how everyday pens and pencils can be used. You will get your very own hand lettering kit and 2 drink tickets.

CYP Club Mixer at Pins – Be social and meet other young professionals at the monthly CYP member mixer. There will be plenty of networking and socializing at this after-work event for members and friends. It’s just $5 to attend and all are welcome to join us! Mikey’s Late Night Slice will be available (for free) until it’s gone. Thursday, February 9th

Angry Baker + Aunt Flow – Visit Angry Baker on King because 15% of the day’s sales benefit Aunt Flow! “Menstrual products are not covered by WIC or food stamps and these necessities routinely show up on the top of non-profit needs’ lists. Restoration Yoga in the Salt Room – Join Certified Yoga Therapist Christine Bowden, ERYT-300hr, for a 90 minute meditation and trauma-sensitive yoga workshop in the Salt Room at Serenity Salt Spa. Participants will experience meditation, asana, breath work and optional aromatherapy during relaxation. This workshop is clinically based and can provide practical tools to use to manage depression, anxiety, insomnia, blood pressure, etc. Light refreshments and hot herbal tea will be provided immediately following the class. Make sure to RSVP by February 5th.

Friday, February 10th

Peter Pan – Take flight with Wendy, Peter and Tinker Bell for the company premiere of Michael Pink’s fantastical Peter Pan. This wildly popular production, with an original score by Philip Feeney, will send your imagination soaring with the help of magical lighting tricks, grand scenery and intricate costumes. It is showing at the Ohio Theater. Tickets start at just $29 -you can purchase them here.

February 400 Market at Strongwater – Join Quirky Clean and 400 Market for a wonderful event filled with handmade vendors, local food, the 400Days Special Strongwater Event gallery and more.

Ohio String Art Workshop and Wine Wall – Join Jessica from Designs Entwined LLC for an evening of string art and wine! $10 from every ticket sold will benefit Peace for Paws Ohio to help homeless dogs. During the event, you will create your very own piece of Ohio string art with dozen of string colors to choose from.
As part of the fundraiser, they will feature a Wine Wall at the event. You have the option to participate in this awesome extra event and leave with a bottle of wine valued at $10-$25!

Wine Tasting and Chocolate Art Show Opening – Join Global Gallery for a delicious Friday evening. I mean wine and chcoloate, is there a better combination? $10 gets you 5 glasses plus they will have chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate, wine, live music and art!!! The art show is titled “From Bean to Bar: The dark and light side to chocolate” All art work is inspired by Fair Trade chocolate. This exhibit will coincide with the screening of “The Dark Side of Chocolate,” a film that documents the exploitation and slave trading of African children to harvest chocolate. The movie screening and community panel discussion will be held February 6, 2017, from 5:00-9:00PM at the Global Gallery Coffee Shop.

Saturday, February 11th

Thai-Inspired Rolled Ice Cream – Join Oats & Barley Market for a special all-day Valentine’s treat from Simply Rolled Ice Cream. Stop in anytime between 1-8:30pm for a one of a kind ice-cream experience! Tip: Based on previous events, the line tends to get pretty long! I suggest getting there early, if possible.

Winter Vendor Fair – Head to Lucky’s Market Columbus to enjoy a tasty afternoon of sampling from some of their local vendors – all Ohio producers.

Hop Yard 62 Craft Beer & Cheesecake Pairing – Head out to Hop Yard 62 for craft beer and mini cheesecakes from The Cheesecake Girl! They will start at 7PM until they sell out! Ticket price is $16.00 per ticket. Customers can also pre purchase tickets at Hop Yard. They will have 42 tickets for sale to assure proper seating & will sell additional tickets at the door!

Sip n Savor – Stop by Celebrate Local at Easton Town Center for a new type of event! Throughout the day, they will be pairing up our vendors. With Valentine’s Day coming up, this Sip n Savor will be focused on sweets! Silver Bridge Coffee CompanyBuckeye Winery, Cashmere & Twig, Sarah’s Sweets and Camelot Cellars will be there during different time slots.

Sunday, February 12th

Family Clay Day: Ceramic Love Plaque – Join Cynthia Vardhan, professional ceramic artist, at Art With Anna for their first Family Clay Day! In celebration of your family love and Valentine’s Day, you will learn the ancient art of coil building to make your very own ceramic heart plaque. Cynthia will also go over the basics of surface design including glazes, underglazes, texture and pattern. All professional supplies and tools will be provided – just bring your imagination! Your work will be fired in an electric kiln and be ready for pickup in about a week. Come by yourself, or bring the family and work together on one heart, two, or five. $40/piece, pre-registration is required.  Ages 6+ with friends and/or family member.

Grand Opening Party at 220 Thurman – Help STUMP celebrate their brand new location in German Village form 5pm – 9pm.

Ramen Pop-Up – Head to Harvest Cliftonville for a fun ramen pop-up from 4pm – 8pm. They will have small plates, Veggie Ramen, Tokyo Chicken and Pork Tonkotsu. There will be a small beer and wine selection available as well.
