Be the Star of the Holidays with Cheryl’s Cookies

I just love the holidays, but you know what I love more? Cookies! You thought I was going to say my girls, right? ๐Ÿ˜› The thing about the holidays is, cookies pair perfectly. Cookies for breakfast. Cookies for Santa. Cookies for lunch. Cookies for parties. Cookies for dinner.

One thing that I’ve never really participated in, but have always wanted to is a cookie exchange party. Getting together with a group of girlfriends, bringing your dozen cookies and leaving with a dozen new cookies. So much fun. The reason I haven’t ever gone to one is, well, I am not so much a baker. It’s just not one of my strong points. However, this year, I have the perfect solution (and don’t judge me) – I am going to buy them. It is to be determined whether or not I will leave them in the package or not. You can always make it a bit fancier by unwrapping them and plating them on a cute Christmas themed plate.

Since I’m not making homemade cookies, I had to find something just as close, if not BETTER. This is where Cheryl’s comes in. Quality, freshness and presentation are three of their strong points and the reason I chose them, not to mention they’re local.

Did you know in 1981, the very first Cherylโ€™s Cookiesยฎ opened its doors right here in Columbus, Ohio. The modest storefront sold only six kinds of cookies, but the quality of the offerings far outshone the quantity. Within seven years, the company had grown by leaps and bounds, broadening its assortment to include gourmet brownies, cakes, cookies and cookie gift baskets, along with seasonal versions of its renowned buttercream-frosted signature cookies.

Most significantly, Cherylโ€™sยฎ became a true gifting company, complete with catalogs filled with gifts ideas and cookies for birthdays, holiday, like delicious Holiday cookies, and every occasion in between, as well as a customer-focused Business Gifts Division dedicated to helping corporate and business customers build relationships.

Seeing that they are from Columbus, many people have tasted their deliciousness. However, what you might not know is, they’ve launched a collection of new fall and holiday flavored products; alongside a new chocolate chip cookie in honor of their 38th anniversary. Pretty sure this is going to make me the winner of “Best Cookies brought to a Cookie Exchange Party.” Like I said, I haven’t ever been to one, but I assume this is a thing?

Now, the hard part. Which cookies do I choose? (Side note: I decided to bring a variety cookies to swap vs. one type). They have a ton of great options. From peanut butter oat chocolate chip cookies to fudge frosted pumpkin cut-out cookies to ginger shortbread cookies.

You can check out their entire Thanksgiving collection here and their holiday collection here.

The cookies that I chose were….
Chocolate Chip Cookie: Sweetened by honey, this new cookie blends Belgian wafers, semi-sweet morsels, and milk chocolate chips into a butter-rich batter. In a delicious contrast to the sweet chocolates, this cookie is topped with sea salt!
Marshmallow Frosted S’more Cookie: A delicious graham cracker curst cookie made with butter and brown sugar each generously layered with vanilla buttercream and a a milk chocolate candy bar topper. Hello, Fall!
Brown Sugar Shortbread Cookie: A crispy, buttery brown sugar shortbread cookie made with lots of brown sugar and butter, of course! These pumpkin shaped treats are finished with orange sugar.
Peanut Butter Oat Chocolate Chip Cookie: Loaded with lots of delicious flavors and textures, this is guaranteed to be come a favorite at first bite! They’ve included butter, brown sugar, creamy peanut butter, rolled oats and candy-coated milk chocolate chips.
Brondie Brookie: One-half blondie bar and one-half fudge brownie layer — the combination of two favorites. These delicious tasty treats are made with butter, semi-sweet chocolate chips, chocolate liquor and cocoa powder.

Tip: If you decide you’re going to take them out of the package, make sure you don’t have little (or big) hands around! These cookies are delicious and will get snatched up at any moment!
