Shhhh……don’t tell the girls what I’m getting them for Christmas!
This blog post is a paid partnership with Big Lots for the Ho Ho Whoa Campaign. All thoughts, pictures, and opinions are my own.
Have you started shopping yet? It is so much fun getting to play Santa this year, so I’ve started EARLY! Much earlier than ever before. I’ve had my eye on a few things that I’ve wanted to get for the girls and I have been lucky enough to find almost all of it at Big Lots!
Did you know Big Lots carries brands like Fisher-Price, Play Zone and V-tech? However, they aren’t name brand prices!! Right now, many of the toys are buy one, get one 50% off (check ads before shopping) and as always, if you join BIG Rewards – you can earn $$$ off every time you make a purchase + earn $5 off your first purchase when you sign up. I’m all about saving money this holiday season.
I’ve put together a list of my top gift picks for infants/young toddlers that you can find at Big Lots! Like I mentioned, don’t tell the girls what they’re getting this year from Santa! 😉
How cute is this Mini Mouse Stylish and Sweet Ball Playland? The girls are loving crawling into their pop-up tent right now and playing with flex balls. They’re starting to roll them back and forth. It’s the cutest thing EVER. I can only imagine how much they are going to love a full ball pit. Plus, something that their cousin can play with when she comes over. They also have a Nick Jr. Paw Patrol Inflatable Ball Playland if Minnie isn’t your thing.
I love a good, educational puzzle! The puzzle pieces were a pretty decent size, perfect for toddler hands and for $5, you can pick up a couple.
I knew Big Lots carried name branded toys, but I no idea they were home to all the infant V-tech and Fisher-Price toys out there!! Maybe not all of them, but they have a HUGE selection!! Best part? They start at $6!
I HAD to pick up these two items from Leap Frog and V-tech. The girls LOVE the flashlight on my phone and they LOVE music, so these were at the top of my list. The Vtech Learn & Groove Shakin’ Colors Maracas are great because they feature two types of maracas. One that has colorful shaker beads and one that plays maraca sound effects. The Vtech Spin & Learn Color Flashlight glows in a rainbow of five hues and plays exciting music. Plus, it features 50 sing-along songs, music, sounds and phrases that engage learning fun.vI love the easy grip handle. Both of these are big winners in the infant/toddler world. #musthave
One major reason I am a big fan of these next five toys is the fact that they can “grow” with your infant/toddlers. #moneysaver A lot of them are geared for 12 months – 36 months. They can do that because there are different settings, usually level 1-3. Plus, they all play music – which is always a big hit.
I love a good multi-pack with an educational focus. The preschool teach time gift set has all the educational preschool classic toys in one, including rings, stacking cups and shapes. Perfect to help with colors, shapes and fine motor skills. This pack is on sale for $8 right now! The bucket of blocks are a staple in our household. Another toy that can grow with them and at a $5 price point, you might as well pick up two!
Moving away from toys, I absolutely LOVE these pjs and slippers made by Dearfoams. How perfect are these for Christmas Eve/Christmas morning?
I don’t know about your kids, but my girls are absolutely obsessed with chairs. Not just any chairs, chairs in “their size.” As soon as Emerson saw this one, she wanted to sit on it ASAP. This was the floor model, which dropped the price down to $25. If your kids love unicorns, this chair comes in a unicorn and rainbow print. It is the Dream Street Kids Camille Pink Unicorn Armchair.
Another great chair option from Dream Street is their foam armchair. It is a comfy and cozy place to relax, but also gives them a new cuddly playmate! There are multiple options!
Everyone needs a new life-sized stuffed animal, right? These jumbo plush unicorns by Play Zone are 51″ long! I can see this being something they play with, sit on, travel with and snuggle with. #multi-purpose
These are the items on my Christmas list for the girls and what I felt were the top infant/toddler picks in store at Big Lots. However, this isn’t even close to showcasing what they have to offer! I suggest heading to your local Big Lots to see for yourself (they have multiple aisles and are VERY organized) or check out the selection online. You can even pick your closest store and see if they have it in stock, making shopping that much easier this year!
Let me know what you find. I might need to add it to
my list. 🙂
