Are you on Thanksgiving pie duty this year? Well, I’ve got a little secret to help take the stress of such an important task away. Skip the hours of baking and enter stress-free pie zone. How do you enter this zone? By picking up your pie at Frisch’s Big Boy.

This was her face after I told her what was in the box.

If you haven’t had the pumpkin pie from Frisch’s, you’re in for a real treat. I may or may not be eating a slice as I type this. I call it inspiration. Their famous pumpkin pie is made from a secret recipe that dates back more than 50 years, and each pie is made in Frisch’s Kitchen in Walnut Hills. The reason they taste so good is because they’re made daily in small batches, meaning they’re FRESH, never frozen. Plus, they have a made-from-scratch crust and a blend of spices I just can’t put my finger on. They’re closely guarded by the kitchenโ€™s loyal bakers.

They have the most perfect whipped cream to top it with. I may or may have eaten before we made it to my sisters house….

Fun fact: Over a million slices are served every year!

Oh, and you now how “Aunt Becky and her kids” always complain because they don’t like pumpkin pie and wish there was something else pumpkin? Well, Frisch’s has you covered. They have two other delicious pumpkin choices!

First, back by popular demand, the pumpkin cheesecake. Fluffy pumpkin pie filling baked into a rich and creamy cheesecake with an irresistible graham cracker crust, topped with a candy corn pumpkin.

Only downfall of the girls eating actual food, I have to share with them!

Second, Pumpkin Spice Caramel Cake. Yes. I said pumpkin spice caramel cake. Vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two pumpkin spice cakes, drizzled with caramel sauce, and topped with whipped cream and pecans. Are you drooling after that description because I sure am. This was such a fun alternative to the typical pumpkin desserts. It doesn’t hurt that it is absolutely delicious. The flavors and textures pair very well together.

My only tip for this cake is to make sure if you are picking it up, you either go straight home or put it in one of the freezer bags. My ice cream melted a little and while it was still quite delicious, Aunt Becky probably won’t be very impressed if you show up with melted ice cream everywhere.

So, there you have it. If you’re in charge of all things pumpkin this holiday season, you’re going to want to head to your local Frisch’s Big Boy. You can pick-up a classic pumpkin pie or switch thing sup with a pumpkin cheesecake or pumpkin spice caramel cake. I highly suggest grabbing all three.
