Winans Chocolates and Coffees
Who doesn’t need chocolate and coffee right about now? Winans is one of my favorite spots. Nothing like strolling through German Village with an Iced Karamel Kiss and PB chocolate. YUM. If you go to their website, you can see a ton of different options from coffee to bagged candies to gourmet nuts to signature chocolates.

For she who sips bourbon
A classic Old Fashioned already expertly mixed and bottled by Watershed Distillery so all they have to do is pour over ice and enjoy. Cheers to you Mom!
Just in case bourbon isn’t at the top of her list, check out the delicious cocktail kits from Watershed or a bottle of their Guild Gin – a lightly golden, chamomile flavored gin that is bold yet delicate — comforting with one-of-a-kind character. Sound like someone you know?
Includes: Fresh lemons and delicious strawberry syrup. Pairs perfectly with vodka.
Items purchased from Watershed are easily picked up via curbside at 1145 Chesapeake Ave, Suite D

Mom Shirt from Charlotte & Ezra
What is more perfect for Mother’s Day than a shirt declaring Mom Life!? Maybe you’ve noticed on my IG/FB (or maybe you haven’t), but I am a big fan of the designs of Tara from Charlotte and Ezra. She has been doing this for six years and all of her shirts have a story being them, which I love. She focuses on the positives of mom life rather than the negatives, which I also love!
She has so many great designs. Oh, and I must mention – the sweatshirts are the softest things ever! You can check them out here.
Introductory Photography Course with Local Mama Rachael Laurin
Important: Spring 2020 session begins April 26
I am really excited about this one. While I don’t have a ton of extra time, I’ve always wanted to figure out how to use my Canon camera without having to default on the automatic settings, hoping the pictures just turnout! This is where Rachael comes to the rescue. For $75, her course will teach you how to use your camera in manual mode, helping you to document your day! I love that she uses her kiddos as examples to teach us, so relatable! Can’t wait to start this course!
You can learn more about Rachael here and the course here.
Self-Care Items from Pälish
Pälish is a line of natural products (created by Heather) with a focus on the overall health and welness of the skin, simple yet effective. I love her products. Not only do they smell amazing, they feel amazing on your skin. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. She offers body & hair care, face care, gift sets and more. I am a big fan of her body scrubs, recovery bath salts and face oils.

DIY Kits and Activities from Wild Cat
Wild Cat! Gift and Party in Clintonville is an AMAZING store – all things local, feminist, fun and creative can be found there. Right now, you can shop viva their website. Candle from Cultivated Candle
I love Cultivated Candles. They hand pour vintage-inspired soy candles in a historic factory in downtown Columbus! Not only do they smell divine, you have the option of having them put into an antique dish/tin/glass/etc. There are some really neat options. You can also choose to have them in a regular jar. I love the Grapefruit Grove Candle, Dried Eucalyptus Candle and Peachy Eucalyptus Candle. However, you can’t go wrong with any of their unique scents.

Outfit or Accessory from The Gemma Shop
The Gemma Shop is a locally owned boutique in Westerville. While the store is physically closed, the online shop is filled with tons of gems. Lauren, the owner, has the best style and brings it to us in such an easy way. Personally, I would love the Leopard Twist Top Headband, Black Utility Tie Front Top, Tie Dye Pleated Dress (for future festivals this summer), or the Short Sleeve Chambray Jumpsuit (for walking around the house…or neighborhood :P) You can’t go wrong with anything you choose! If all else fails, maybe purchase a gift card for a future purchase or online.
You can also check this blog post to see a few of my other favorite *local* boutiques.
Wine Club at Meza Wine Shop
Meza Wine Shop is a wine shop in Historic Uptown Westerville. Locally owned by Tatjana and her husband, Jason – they stock a collection of 800+ wine labels and are constantly bringing us new and delicious wines. One thing that I love is their Monthly Wine Club. It is probably one of the best deliveries you can get! Each month, depending on which you choose, you will be delivered thoughtfully selected wine + information on each wine, the producer featured, as well as food pairing tips and serving suggestions. Educational and delicious. Perfect Combo.
They offer FIVE TIERS OF MEMBERSHIP, you can find more info here. Pricing varies. Free delivery in Westerville. Small Fee for outside of Westerville.
If you’re not interested in committing to a wine club right now, you can always order a curated six pack of delicious hand picked wine.
Hat from Shelly Lou Lids
I’m not sure how long I’ve been a fan of these hats, but I know it’s been forever. They are the BEST fitting hats EVER. They’re comfortable and super cute, too. Best part, the owner/designer/boss bae is a gem of a person and it just feels good supporting her! Oh, and a hat is a must right now.
Snacks North Country Charcuterie
I am a big fan of North Country Charcuterie. They are a family-owned company, hand-making cured meats right here in Columbus. Right now they’re offering their normal (delicious) products + virtual happy hour kits. My favorite is the “Honey Do Virtual Happy Hour Charcuterie Kit.” It includes 1 No. 1 Salami (variable weight), 4 oz. OG Krista Gouda Cheese from Black Radish Creamery and 1.5 oz. jar Latshaw Apiaries Honey.
{ Salami Squad }

Who doesn’t want a new t-shirt to wear around the house and hopefully soon, out in public! Whether the mom in your life is “Wining with DeWine at 2” or “Becoming a Social Distancng Expert,” Catelin has the best designs!
Shop all of her designs here. I’m also a big fan of her hat and coffee mugs.
Anything from Natterdoodle
Natterdoodle is locally owned by Natalie, who is a big ball of joy and love. All of her products scream positivity and work to empower women through heartfelt hand lettering! She offers a huge range of items from candles to sticks to magnets to art prints.
Right now, she is offering a few different digital workshops. How does it work? Simple. She will mail you a take-home-kit with supplies and include instructions on how to log into a live workshop on Facebook. You can check them out here.
Cookies from Cakes by Kat
Like most of Columbus, I am in love with the cookies from Cakes by Kat. They’re beautiful, delicious and really, who doesn’t love cookies as a gift (or anytime). She has put together a few different sets for Mother’s Day, but does offer other options via her website.
Order Brunch (+ Drinks) from Her Favorite Spot
Getting her favorite brunch delivered (or carryout) would just be the icing on the cake for the best day. If you’re looking for a a new spot, check out this group on facebook “Support Central Ohio Restaurants” — guarantee you’ll find something!
I imagine businesses will be offering Mother’s Day specials/curated menus, which I will update once I start to see them.
Oh, and don’t forget the card!
Local maker, Meghan from Snarky Cards has us all covered. She makes hilarious cards for all occasions. Here are a few of my favorites for Mother’s Day. You can check them all out here.
If you’re looking for a craft idea for the kids to make, check out my Pinterest Board on Mother’s Day Crafts. There are a ton of ideas! Oh, and just remember – gifts aren’t necessary to show the mamas and the local business owners in your life how much they mean to you. Burnt pancakes from a box in bed with snuggles is a totally perfect morning. Hugging your Mom (if possible) is the best. Liking, commenting, watching business owners videos and social media shares – that’s helpful and shows love, too. <3
