This is the time when I would be filling up our summer calendar with all the fun things that Columbus has to offer. Sadly, that is not the case. Well, not the exact case. I am still looking for fun things to do in a socially distant way and lucky for me (and you), Columbus Common has given me a few ideas to add to that list.
ᴡʜɪʟᴇ ɪᴛ ᴡᴏɴ’ᴛ ʟᴏᴏᴋ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴀᴍᴇ ᴀꜱ ᴘᴀꜱᴛ ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ, ᴛʜᴇʏ’ʀᴇ ꜱᴛɪʟʟ ꜰɪɴᴅɪɴɢ ᴡᴀʏꜱ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴀꜰᴇʟʏ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛᴇ ᴀ ꜰᴜɴ ꜱᴘᴀᴄᴇ ꜰᴏʀ ᴜꜱ.
- You can still ᴇɴᴊᴏʏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴀʀᴋ for things like picnics, blowing bubbles, running in circles and other things families without toddlers do. 🙂 They just remind us to stay a safe distance of at least six feet from others, utilize the hand sanitizer stations located throughout the park, and wear a mask or face covering to protect yourself and others. ᴋᴇᴇᴘ ɪɴ ᴍɪɴᴅ, ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴇꜱᴛʀᴏᴏᴍꜱ ᴀʀᴇ ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴛʟʏ ᴄʟᴏꜱᴇᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇɪʀ ᴘᴀʀᴋ ꜰᴜʀɴɪᴛᴜʀᴇ ɪꜱ ɴᴏᴛ ᴀᴠᴀɪʟᴀʙʟᴇ ꜰᴏʀ ᴜꜱᴇ.
- ᴀʀᴛ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴀʀᴋ: If you’re walking through the park, you might notice some incredible artwork on their screens. This new project aims to display art from Central Ohio artists on their outdoor LED screens for the entire 2020 summer season. - ꜰᴏᴏᴅ ᴛʀᴜᴄᴋꜱ: You can pre-order/pre-pay options for lunchtime food trucks through Street Food Finder. Taquero Street Kitchen is opening June 1 and Limited Lunchtime Food Trucks begin June 4.
- ꜰʀᴇᴇ ꜰɪᴛɴᴇꜱꜱ ᴄʟᴀꜱꜱᴇꜱ: They will be offering free fitness classes starting on June 15th. Registration will be required and class size will be limited to 9 participants.
Keep an eye on their website, Facebook and Instagram as they will be fine tuning everything as the summer goes on.
