Have you experienced a pedal wagon ride? We did one for my birthday a few years ago through the Short North and it was such a fun and unique experience – a different way to see the city we love.
If you aren’t familiar, Pedal Wagon is essentially what the name states – a wagon that you pedal. With that being said, it’s way more than that makes it sound! The Pedal Wagon is a multi-passenger, pedal-powered, rolling celebration. Up to 15 people can book a private 2-hour pedal wagon to experience and explore the city from a different perspective, typically going to and from various local establishments. Depending on the area, you can BYOB and bring your own music.
Keep in mind: The Easton Pedal Wagon DOES require pedaling โ but they can add some electric assistance upon request. We learned that the hard way on a hot summer day. If you’re lucky, you can get a seat above a wheel. (It means no pedaling for you.๐)
Starting August 23rd, in collaboration between Pedal Wagon Columbus and Easton Town Center, you’ll start seeing Pedal Wagons around Easton. During your two-hour time slot, you can pedal your way around the town center, making stops at some of the best restaurants and bars in Central Ohio. The ride starts on Merchant Row, near the new district, and has stops at different locations such as The Beeline, Forty Deuce, and Forbidden Root Brewery.
All of the public rides are 21 and over, however, they do offer an option to make it more family-friendly. Keep in mind if there are riders under 21, no alcohol will be permitted. While on the wagon, wine and beer are permitted, but no hard liquor. You can read their full alcohol policy here.
You can start booking August 23 with a variety of time slots, starting at 11AM and ending at 9PM depending on the day. The cost varies baed on public or private tour. Public tours start at $25/person and $349/private rental.
Rides are operated by and booked throughย Pedal Wagon Columbus.
You can find all the details over on Easton Town Center website!
