I’ve partnered with Ohio. Find it Here. to share our trip to Orchard & Co. All pictures and opinions are my own unless noted otherwise.
It’s starting to feel a lot like fall around here, which makes me super happy because fall is my most favorite season of all. I love everything about it. The weather is perfect. The foliage is magical. Apple and pumpkin-flavored everything. Football Season. But, one of my most favorite things – visiting all the local farms with pumpkin patches!
On a crisp fall afternoon, there is nothing more charming than exploring a beautiful family farm. Colorful leaves, fresh apple cider and slushies, pumpkin patches, apple picking, family activities, and so much more. The Orchard & Co, a family-owned and operated farm located in Plain City just 30 minutes west of Columbus, is the perfect spot for just that. They provide a variety of exciting things for your entire family to have a perfect fall afternoon.
This was our first visit to this farm, but apparently there are many of you who include it in your fall must-do list every year. When I shared about it on my IG stories, I had many people sharing their love of the farm, as well as giving me the insider scoop on must eat items. Spoiler alert – EVERYONE loves the pumpkin donuts!
Fall Activities
This farm does not fall short on activities for kids of all ages. Unique tractor-drawn wagon rides, a giant corn pit to excavate in, a jumping pillow to defy gravity on, a barrel ride cleverly named moo moo express that takes you on a tour of the apple orchard, pedal car track, tire climb, hill slides, zip line and more.
I love the use of tires throughout the play area. I think the girls favorite was the tire swing, or maybe the custom made swings that look like horses!
The girls loved playing in the corn. It made me think maybe we should replace our sand at home with corn! I think they would have spent an hour in there. They had enough space to spread out, plus there were a ton of trucks for everyone to play with and explore the corn.
I rode the moo moo express with the girls. It was a fun little tour through the apple orchard.
I sort of want to get a jumping pillow for our backyard. They’re so much fun!
I think my dad and I had just as much fun riding the pedal wagons as the kids did and going down the super-fast slide; I think I might have had the girls beat on the biggest smile. Ha. It indeed brought the kid out of all the adults!
Make a few new Farm Friends
We love visiting with our friends in the animal barn. They have a miniature horse family, miniature goats, baby pigs, cows, chickens, and rabbits awaiting your arrival. These animals seemed to love all of the attention and were super friendly.
Enjoy your favorite fall foods
Right in the center of it all is the Pigadeli Cafe. The menu is filled with all your fall favorites. Jumbo beef hot dogs, smoked pulled pork sandwiches, their famous sloppy joe, pasta salad, chips, and more. Make sure you leave room for dessert because their fresh pumpkin donuts are not to be skipped! Some of the best I’ve ever had.
If your looking for that Orchard taste, they have yummy apple cider and apple cider slushies! We were all a fan of both;.
They have plenty of seating to enjoy your meal. I even saw a few people with blankets having a picnic style lunch.
Pick Apples
We picked Honeycrisp, their #1 selling apple! Sweet, crisp & juicy. I love this farm because everything is pretty close to each other (and the parking lot). There wasn’t a ton of walking, which is excellent when you have toddlers with you. The apples are located in between the market/farm activities and the barn where the animals are located.
Keep in mind all u-pick is while supplies last. I suggest double-checking their FB page before visiting to check the variety type and ensure inclement weather hasn’t affected the apples.

Find the perfect pumpkin
Last but not least, what is more fall than finding the perfect pumpkin? They have a great selection of pumpkins and gourds. They are all pre-picked and organized by variety. You’ll find multiple sizes of orange jack-o-lanterns ($4-$14), but also unique varieties such as their specialty gourds and blue and white pumpkins.
The girls loved filling up the cart with almost every pumpkin they saw.
