The All-New Hyundai TUCSON is Built For Modern Adventure

Thank you to Hyundai for sponsoring this post and allowing me to test out one of the coolest vehicles I’ve been in!

Have you seen the new Hyundai Tucson? It is completely redesigned  into the modern adventure SUV with next-gen design and next-level tech. Hyundai’s best Tucson ever.

It’s been a couple of years since I’ve test drove a new car, and when we were looking last, I had one thing in mind – how to fit triplet infants and all the things that go along with them! Ha. That led us to a van; no question asked, no need to test drive anything else! It was the solution! Now that we are at this stage of toddlerhood, we have a bit more flexibility in the size and type of vehicle. Besides the van, we drive a smaller SUV for daily going to work, special one-on-one time with the girls, or a mom self-care day. We enjoy the vehicle and the size but need something new. That is one of the reasons I was super excited to get the opportunity to test drive the Hyundai Tucson.

When I went to the dealership to pick up the Tucson, I walked by it and had no idea that was the car I would be driving for a couple of days. It is STUNNING! Each time I drove it, I found something new I loved about it. I could go on and on about it, but the best thing to do is try to solidify it down to the 7 things I most loved about it.

Fun Fact: I drove first to my dad’s house to show it off to him. He and my step-mom love testing out new cars, and I knew he would enjoy seeing it. I was right! He even showed me a few things that he had seen in commercials. WOW, NO WAY, WATCH THIS – were the phrases that kept coming out of my mouth!

7 Things to know and love about the Hyundai Tucson

  1. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is very easy on the eyes, both inside and out. The outside is very stylish- bold and sleek, yet sporty at the same time. The shape and flow of the vehicle are impressive. I noticed the design of the side doors first, followed by the standout grill – very unique. I was driving behind my sister and brother-in-law. When I called to tell them I was parked and waiting but had been behind them – they mentioned the vehicle behind them had such a cool grill. We were all laughing and impressed when I told them it was me! The Tucson truly stands out!
I love Franklinton! There are so many great spots to explore. If you’re looking for a place to work for the day or just need to grab a cup of coffee, One Line is a great choice. I suggest getting the Maple latte!

2. Trunk space!! Whether I have the girls, am running to the grocery, picking up library books, or just spending the afternoon exploring our local shops — trunk space is something I never have enough of!! There is a ton of room, more than I was expecting. Plus, it has an excellent cover you can easily pull out over the top. I enjoyed the easy opening, even featuring a hands-free smart liftgate. As moms, we always look for a third hand; well, here it is!

3. Remember how I said how bold the outside was? They didn’t forget about the inside! The futuristic interface with buttonless yet intuitive controls on a 10.25-inch touchscreen was impressive. The gauge display is digital, the shifter is a push-button, and the climate-control system is a touch-sensitive control. Did I mention that the seats have A/C in them! Forget about seat warmers (which they do have); A/C in the seats is a DREAM, especially with the weather we have been having. That is one thing I got VERY USED to! When I first got in, I thought there was no way I could figure it all out – but it was easy and, like I mentioned, intuitive.

4. You won’t catch me in a convertible, but a sunroof is necessary. The Tucson has a panoramic sunroof that stretches from the ceiling of the front passenger seats back to the second row. Just like many other features, one push of a button and it opens.

5. As moms, we’re in charge of all things. One thing I ALWAYS seem to forget is a cell phone charger, and you know I never have it on the charger at home, meaning my cell phone is never fully charged. Hyundai has found another solution for me – a 15-watt charging pad that not only powers up your Qi-compatible device faster, but there is also a fan that helps cool it down at the same time. Problem solved. Well, as long as I can find my cell phone. Ha.

6. You know I couldn’t leave off the safety features, right? Hyundai left nothing unturned when it came to safety. The first thing I noticed was the number of cameras. They’re everywhere – a front view camera to detect lane markers on the road, a backup camera, a blind-spot view monitor, and a surround-view monitor to make you more aware of what’s around you. When you use your turn signal, a camera shows up on your dashboard, showing you what is alongside the car and behind. I thought that was neat. I’ve never seen anything like that. Besides the camera, the Tucson has advanced safety and technology like Remote Smart Parking Assist (see below), Dynamic Voice Recognition, hands-free, gesture-free smart liftgate, and Rear Occupant Alert.

7. I saved the COOLEST feature for last. We spend a lot of time in the Short North and Downtown areas, and one of the things we find to be difficult is parking! Not only finding a spot but coming back to your car and suddenly you’re stuck in front of a vehicle that is too close and on the other side, you can’t even get in your door! So Hyundai came up with an easy solution: Hyundai Remote Smart Parking Assist. It s super easy to use. Pressing the Smart Key buttons allows you to move the vehicle forward and backward while remaining outside your Hyundai. How cool is that? Check out the video at the end to see it in action.

Bonus: The Hyundai Tucson gives off MAJOR COOL MOM VIBES!

Driving the Hyundai Tucson was such a great experience. I instantly felt comfortable and could enjoy all of the features, some I didn’t even know could exist! It has a comfortable, quiet, and spacious drive to it. Truth be told, I am missing it a bit!
