Makers Social has been on my list for SO LONG, and it did not disappoint. We lucked out and got the place to ourselves on a Sunday afternoon. Day before? Parties galore because how fun is this for a bachelor/bachelorette/birthday/shower/anytime party?
When you arrive, the first thing you do is pick out your project. The projects range from keychains and necklaces to serving trays and pet dining tables. They have hints on each project, letting you know if you need to super focus or something less intense. ๐ You’ll also see the typical timeframe in case you have somewhere else to be after!ย
I suggest taking a look out the DIY Project Menus before you visit. There are a ton of projects to choose from and if you’re like me, you’ll want to make them all. Better to be a bit prepared!
After you pick out your project, you’re given supplies, tools, & step-by-step instructions to complete your project. You’re pretty much on your own after that, but they have super friendly employees to help as soon as you need it.
When it comes to DIY classes, we both get into a rhythm and concentrate. It’s serious business over here. Ha.
One of the things that makes them unique is they are a full bar, too! They have a fun cocktail list with punny names, a great bourbon list, mocktails, soda pops, juice, non-alcoholic beers, etc. They have popcorn, chips, and fruit snacks, but you’re more than welcome to bring in your own snacks!
They have a great little patio to hang out on when the weather is nice. Perfect for playing a game of Connect 4 while projects dry or watching whatever fun thing is happening in Franklinton.
If you’re looking for somewhere to eat before or after, Franklinton is home to several great restaurants.
