It’s that wonderful time of year when the leaves change colors, and pumpkins take center stage in our city. One of my favorite fall traditions is The Great Westerville Pumpkin Glow, Westerville’s signature autumn event. In 2023, they’ve added something special – a mesmerizing trail of glowing pumpkins and unique set-ups are scattered throughout Heritage Park. You’ll also find the largest gourds they can find on display and a variety of fun activities included with your admission!
Mark your calendars from October 19th to the 22nd, because those are the nights when the magic happens. The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and goes on until 10:30 p.m., with the final trail entrance at 10:00 p.m. So, make sure you’re there early to soak in all the pumpkin goodness.
This pumpkin-tastic event takes place at the stunning Heritage Park, located at 60 N. Cleveland Ave. It’s the perfect backdrop!
Now, let’s talk about tickets. Ticket sales opened on Friday, September 1st and are still available….for now! But here’s the catch – don’t wait to get your tickets, there won’t be any ticket sales at the event itself. Make sure to grab yours in advance at www.westerville.org/tickets.
- $15 for Adults
- $12 for Youth (Ages 3-15) and Seniors
- FREE for Children Under 3
The Great Westerville Pumpkin Glow isn’t just about admiring pumpkins; it’s also about having a blast. With your admission, you can enjoy activities like axe throwing, pumpkin bowling, a mechanical pumpkin ride, LED putt-putt, an inflatable corn maze, and even a pumpkin bounce house. It’s non-stop fun for the whole family!
What’s an event without some delicious eats, right? Get ready to indulge your taste buds with a lineup of food truck vendors. From Big Mouth Egg Rolls to Grilled Cheese Gangsters and everything in between, there’s something for everyone. Plus, keep an eye out for those pumpkin-themed delights – they’re a real treat! You can see a full list of vendors here.
As you plan your visit, here’s some essential info to keep in mind:
- To streamline the entry process, there are now two entrances/exits available – Main Street and Cleveland Avenue. Don’t forget to bring your tickets with you to make things smoother.
- Due to the expected high attendance, parking at Heritage Park won’t be available. But don’t worry; there are plenty of parking options nearby, including The Point at Otterbein University, the COTA Parking Lot (BEST DROP-OFF LOCATION), Westerville Sports Complex, and the Westerville Community Center. Plus, there’s a shuttle for ADA-accessible accommodations.
