Falling in Love with Central Ohio: Our Favorite 9 Farms for Fall Adventures
Are you ready to dive into the amazing sights, scents, and flavors of fall? I definitely am! Central Ohio is the place to be for all things pumpkin, with loads of autumn excitement happening at farms around town from September to October. You can enjoy classic hayrides, pick your own pumpkins at the patches, get up close and personal with cute animals, and savor some mouthwatering fall treats. These Central Ohio farms are the perfect spot to get into the seasonal spirit. In this blog post, I’ve got all the details on our favorite Central Ohio farms, each with its own unique charm and activities.
Just a quick tip: don’t forget to check their social media or websites for any last-minute changes. Also, as we visit each farm – I will update details + tips we found useful.
Circle S Farms in Grove City
Dates: October 1 – October 31
Daily Hours: 9 am – 7 pm
Hayrides start at 9:00 a.m. and run until dusk.
Price: $11.00 per person (children under 2 admitted free)
$5.00 per pumpkin (optional)
They accept major credit cards, apple pay, google pay, and purchase orders.
Check out our visit from last year here. This is a great casual, no-frills type of place. You park in one spot and everything is a very short walk from the car. Perfect for younger kids.
Freeman’s Farm Fall Festival in Galena
Dates: September 16 – October 29
Saturdays (10-5) & Sundays (11-5), Market Open (no activities): Mon-Fri (noon – 7)
Admission is FREE. You only pay for activities you select (see below).
Their market featuring pumpkins, gourds, mums, fall decorations, crafts, gifts, fall scented candles, wreaths, fudge, jellies & jams, maple syrup, honey, apple and pumpkin baking mixes, fall candy, pumpkin decorating supplies, and more!
Last entrance into the Fall Fun Activities is 5:00 PM. It takes a minimum of 1 hour to do the activities. Last hayride is 5:30 PM.
They will be open Friday Oct. 13. from 11-4.
Entrance fee $9 (ages 2+), $5 (ages 55+)
They offer hayrides, pony rides for $5 (available on Saturdays and Sundays only), and a playground area featuring attractions like the Great Pumpkin Slide, the Pumpkin Tunnel, a small kids slide, “Woody” the Tractor, a straw maze in their “Big Red” barn, farm animal friends, a kids games arcade, and Corndig.
They offer food on the weekends – Smokin’ Pig BBQ, Icees and Mini donuts
Saturdays and Sundays: 10 am – 5 pm. They are open one Friday: October 13, 2023 10 am – 5 pm.
Guests ages 3-54 pay general admission rates. Adults age 55+ are $5 which includes Hayride. There is no charge for children age 2 and younger. A pre-purchased ticket is required for every guest. No tickets are available at the gate. Tickets are for a specific date and arrival time. Guests can enter the farm any time after their time slot begins and are welcome to stay until the farm closes at 5:00 pm.
All farm activities (except Big Zip) are included with admission – Mountain Slides, Racer Slides, Pedal Carts, Mini Zip, Tube Time, Holstein Hustle, Grainary, Straw Barn, Iron Horse Corral, Tractor Tire Tower, Pumpkin Jump, Trike Track, Hayride, Pumpkin Plunge Slide, and Green Acres. The food line-up is equally as big!
They accept cash, Visa, Master Card, and Discover for pumpkin purchases. Food can be purchased with cash and all major credit cards.

Weekend and Bonus Day Admission is $13.00 for ages 3-59, $5 guests ages 60-74 and free for guests under 3 and 75+. Weekday admission is $6.00 for anyone ages 3-59 doing activities. (Please note that all activities are not operating during the week.)
There is no admission charge if you are simply purchasing pumpkins or items in the gift shop. Your paid admission includes all of the activities available on the farm that day. The only activities not included are the Giant Sling Shot ($1.00 for 2 balls) and Paint Ball Target Shooting ($3 for 25 or $5 for 50).

They have over 20 acres of over 30 different fun activities! New this year – Double Barrel Tube Slide on Fort Pigeon Roost, Pumpkin Patch Memory Match and Tic Tac Crow. We love all the animals – Goats & their baby kids, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, ducks, geese, and exotic pigeons.
They have TONS of pre-picked pumpkins, Indian corn, corn stalks, and several varieties of colorful heritage squash and more fun fall decor!
Pick Your Own Pumpkins (Open Daily 11am-6pm), Cowvin’s Corny Maze (Open Daily 11am-6pm), Haunted Wagon Rides (7:30pm-10pm on Friday & Saturday Nights from September 29th – October 28th), and more!
They offer an array of delicious fall treats , including Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Donut Holes, Homemade Pumpkin Bread, and more.
