With Halloween right around the corner, Columbus is gearing up with spooktacular celebrations all weekend! From ghostly tales to epic costume parades, here’s a list of exciting events this weekend for you and your family to enjoy.
Friday, October 27
Hooray For Halloween at Sharon Woods Metro Park
- Time: 10am – 2pm
- Location: Sharon Woods Metro Park – 6911 Cleveland Ave, Westerville, OH 43081
- Cost: Free
Drop by between 10am-2pm and come dressed in your Halloween best to wander along our self-guided Halloween Activity Trail. You’ll find games, crafts and a few fun surprises as you walk along a .5 mile trail through the woods. Don’t forget to pick up your Halloween goodie bag when you’re done to end your visit with a sweet treat that’ll make you say “Hooray for Halloween”. More information
Great Gahanna Goblin Fest at Academy Park

- Cost: The event is free but on-site parking is $5. Registration is required.

Family Game Night – Halloween Edition at Canal Winchester Community Center
- Time: 6pm – 8pm
- Location: Canal Winchester Community Center
- Cost: Free
Grab the family and head to the Community Center for a FREE family game night! Bring your own game or choose from one of the many available at the center. They’ll also have special Halloween crafts! Dinner, snacks, and beverages will be provided. Guests that join us in their Halloween costumes will be entered to win a prize! is not required but will help inform us of food counts. Boo at the Zoo

It’s the last weekend! There’s a lot to do at Boo at the Zoo! Join your favorite Boo at the Zoo Character Ambassadors for a merry-not-scary, frightfully delightful event of spirited fun for the whole family. Market Trick or Treat in German Village

Wear your Halloween costume to market and trick or treat with the vendors! While you’re there, pick up fruits and veggies, meats, fish and cheese, jam, baked goods and more! More information
Hilliard Halloween Hunt
- Time: 9am – 11am
- Location: Old Hilliard
- Cost: Free
A fun-filled event for families and some Trick-or-treating too! Kids are encouraged to wear costumes! Look for the spookiest and cutest tent at the event…that’ll be us! They will be making carnival masks & whistles! You can also bring any costumes you have to donate for their #chmculturalexchange program. More information
Pumpkin Parade at Upper Arlington Library

Pumpkin Painting + Haunted Maze for Kids at Hoover Gardens

The streets of Uptown “Scarysville” come alive with Halloween FUN. Children can wear costumes and visit Uptown merchants for candy and other Halloween goodies. All the fun of Trick or Treat, in the light of day. More information
Powell Fall Festival

- Cost: Event admission is free with a suggested nonperishable donation to People In Need Inc. of Delaware County
Join in for a fun fall event in the City of Powell Sat., Oct. 28! The’ll have food trucks, kids activities, and live music at Village Green Park. Historic Dublin Candy Crawl

The Historic District is “Creepin it Real” this fall with its annual Candy trail! Bring your goodie bags and wear your costumes! Halloween Spooktacular at Ohio Theatre

This is the 12th annual Hilliard Trunk or Treat in partnership with the Ray Patch YMCA! It is a safe, easy environment for young kids to dress up, have fun, and get a lot of candy. Participating cars back into parking spots and pass out candy from their trunks. The parking lot opens at 4:30pm and trunk or treating begins at 5pm. They will have food trucks, music from 104.9 The River, the Hilliard Police Department, Norwich Fire Department, a photobooth and more!
