And trust me, the layout is so well-designed that every corner holds something exciting. Now, full disclosure, we lucked out and visited on a quieter day, but word on the street is that Saturdays can get pretty lively. Pro tip: keep tabs on their Facebook page for updates on how busy it’s getting to dodge any potential wait times!
What truly sets this museum apart is the attention to detail, floor to ceiling. From interactive water tables to imaginative play areas mirroring the community, every exhibit sparks wonder. One highlight was the dig pit sponsored by Columbia Gas of Ohio, where kids can build, dig, and explore. I loved that they filled it with sand-like rubber granule material vs. actual sand!
The thoughtful inclusion of diverse activities ensures there’s something for everyone. The dress-up area with its stage and the exciting water table stole the show for my girls. I thought the water table was super unique. They had a number of different things to do, including a LEGO table inside the water!
And don’t worry, parents of tiny tots, they’ve got you covered too. There’s a cozy, enclosed play area just for the littlest adventurers to join in on the fun.
The staff working were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really made our visit special. From doing arts and crafts to playing with the girls, their genuine kindness made us feel like part of the family. After a couple of hours, we headed out to grab some lunch, though I’m pretty sure we could have happily stayed for another round of fun.
