Jurassic World Live Tour returns to the Schottenstein Center for the first time since 2019 this month! Jurassic World is an exhilarating and unpredictable live, family entertainment experience that brings the wonder and thrills of Jurassic World to generations of fans. This year, the arena will be transformed into the dense jungles of Isla Nublar, where real Gyrospheres roll through the valley and scientists work to unravel a corrupt plan and save a new dinosaur from a terrible fate.
We went back in 2019 and it was fantastic. I couldn’t believe how realistic it felt – the production quality was EPIC.
We were lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes tour (2019) before the actual show. Yes, I did bring all three girls when they were babies. Shout-out to Sarah from Irvin PR for helping with every photo opp, including getting a kiss/almost eaten by Blue the Velociraptor. I think this is where the girls love of dinosaurs started!
The production features more than 24 film-accurate, life-sized dinosaurs with scale, speed, and ferocity, operated by animatronics and performers. The girls were just babies, so we didn’t take them to the show – but I did see a wide range of people in the audience.
With projection and practical scenery, I will say it feels a bit real and could be intimidating to some at times. So we plan to bring the girls this year with headphones and the idea that we might have to walk out – however, I think they will enjoy it! would just use your best judgment on whether or not you think your kiddos would enjoy it.
Don’t forget to bring your money because they have the best souvenirs, like this t-rex hat that was far too small for my head!
