As the weather starts to warm up and we start dreaming about long summer nights, one of our favorite traditions is just around the corner—the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival in Gahanna! If you’re looking for the ultimate mix of incredible live music, delicious food, and the perfect spot for both family outings and date nights, this is it!

Why We LOVE the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival
For 26 years, this festival has been bringing amazing blues and jazz artists to the heart of Gahanna’s Creekside District, turning the town into a music-lover’s paradise for three days. Whether you’re into smooth jazz or soul-stirring blues, there’s something for everyone. And guess what? More than 30 artists and bands will take the stage across the weekend, so there’s never a dull moment!

Perfect for Families, Date Nights, and Friend Hangouts
One of the BEST things about this festival is that it’s perfect for literally everyone! Planning a family day out? There’s live painting and mural art by local artists, plus plenty of fun for the kids to enjoy. Looking for a date night idea? Imagine strolling along Creekside Park, music in the air, a drink in hand, and the perfect summer night vibes. It’s seriously the best mix of chill and exciting!
And let’s talk about the food—SO much to choose from! From mouthwatering BBQ to local food trucks to gourmet festival eats, there’s something for every craving. Plus, there are some great local restaurants at Creekside to enjoy. But let’s be honest—the girls always go straight for Dippin’ Dots! It’s one of my favorite ways to introduce them to live music because they love dancing around while enjoying their frozen treats. Even though it’s summer, I love that the festival is at Creekside because there’s plenty of SHADE—huge bonus when you’re spending the day outdoors!
