Mom & Me at Marcy’s Playground starts at 10:00 am. You and your kiddo will read a book, have snacks and coloring pages will be available. After, you can paint and project you desire. The cost is the regular cost of the item painted plus $8.00.
Core Power Yoga at Easton is taking their C1 class outside for the rest of the summer! Stop by the studio to check-in for class and then make your way over to fountains in Easton Gateway across from Fabric. Make sure to bring your mat, towel and water or rent those items from us. This class is FREE so bring all of your friends!!
Tuesday 9/13
One of my favorite events for the kiddos at the Columbus Zoo is Little Explorers base camp. This Tuesday, it is back in session! Little Explorers is a free opportunity for preschoolers and toddlers to play, learn or make a new friend! These exploration stations change location every other week and are designed to encourage discovery through puzzles, books, tools, activities and more! This event takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays anytime between 10:00am-12:00pm at the locations listed on their website!
Have you been to Stratford Ecological Center? If not, this is the perfect time to visit. The second Tuesday through November, you have the chance to join other families on the farm for a fun and educational hour of storytelling and a unique hands-on experience based on the seasonal happenings around the farm. We usually bring a picnic for after. You do not need to register. The cost is $5 per family.
Grown-Up & Me Art at Art With Anna starts at 10:00am. I love this event! You and your kiddo get to get messy together and make a piece of art. Make sure to register prior to going.
Starting at 6pm, The Market Italian Village will have 5 wines available to sample for just $5 – from white to red, dry to sweet. While there, you can enjoy their full food menu, as well as all bottles of wine from the tasting at regular retail price. Event details here.
Wednesday 9/14
Did you get your tickets to Slice of Columbus? There will be over fifteen area pizza shops, serving their most savory pies. If you attend, you will have the opportunity to sample pizza and vote for their favorite pie with the “People’s Choice Award.” The event includes children’s activities, craft beers and wine. Thursday 9/15
If you missed Little Explorers base camp on Tuesday, don’t worry! It is back from 10:00-12:00 on Thursday, too.
The Westerville Parks & Recreation Department has hit a major milestone – 50 years of serving the community! Join the City and local community partners for our 50th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, September 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Alum Creek Park North. This family-friendly event will feature food, fun and, of course, birthday cake! This is a free event taking place at Alum Creek Park North between 6pm and 8pm.
For $10, you can get a speak peek of the high anticipated PINS Mechanical Co, before it even opens! It is located downtown. Your ticket includes two full-sized adult beverages of your choice from their speciality cocktail and craft beer lists, complimentary by the hour old school games, access to 3 food trucks and $.50 pinball games. Friday 9/16
Toddler time is back in session at the Westerville Community Center. From 9:30-11:00, one of their rooms will be filled with fine and large motor activities. They have puzzles, balls, cars, tents, tunnels and more. They also have a few arts and crafts set up in a room next door. Suggested age is Kindergarten and under. The cost is $3 or you can purchase a six visit punch card for $15.
The Country Living Fair kicks off and continues through Sunday. There will be great shopping, seminars and demonstrations, delicious food, and a chance to meet their editors!
Jump back to the 90s with 90s Fest! They are bringing us the best of 90s music, food, fashion, and pop culture. They say it’s going to be a totally immersive, time-traveling experience. Come dressed to party as your favorite 90’s character or in your best 90’s style. Pauly Shore, Sister Hazel, Bone Thugs N’ Harmony and DJ Jazzy Jeff will be there + a few more classics! This event takes place at Columbus Commons.
The Maize at Little Darby Creek opens for the season! The MAiZE is located along Little Darby Creek; 10 miles south of Marysville, 8 miles west of Plain City or just 30 minutes from Columbus.
Saturday 9/17
If you haven’t made it to the Worthington Farmer’s Market, it is time to get going! The market goes through October, which is coming up quickly! However, if you don’t make to the outside event, they move it indoors to The Shops at Worthington Place from November to May.
Leeds Farm will have their opening weekend, staying open through October 30th.
Did you think fair season was over?! Nope! The Delaware County Fair Kicks off on Saturday and continues through September 24th.
Independents Day Festival kicks off Saturday and continues through Sunday evening in Franklinton. The focus of this festival is to celebrating and developing independent culture, commerce and creativity. It is going to be a blast! Tons of food, music, people, vendors and activities!
Jack Hanna’s Fall Fest at the Columbus Zoo. See Jack Hannah Live on Statge, visit Trades of Tradition Village, watch the Columbus Zoo Character Ambassador Rolling Celebration, and more! The event will be filled with special events, attractions, entertainment, and many more seasonal treats. Make sure you don’t miss Jack Hanna Live on Stage! Jack will be there with his animals friends, talking all about his travels.
Sunday 9/18
Join Amanda from Art of Yoga at Lineage Brewing for an hour long yoga class. $15 gets you 1 hr. yoga class and a pint of beer after class thanks to Lineage! If you can’t make it this Sunday, she will be back select Sundays throughout the fall. Sign up here.
Looking for a new workout or a fun girls night out? Head to Vertical Adventures at 6:30. Every 3rd Sunday, they have a ladies night. It is free and open to the community.
