First Tuesday Tea – April 2017 – First Tuesday Tea is an informal forum that allows seniors to engage in dialogue about art, music, literary interests, as well as social and current issues. Easton Welcomes the Clippers Home – Easton welcomes the West Division Champion Columbus Clippers back to town at the 2017 Meet-the-Team Party! Intro to Bread: Sourdough – Delve into the science of bread-making during this class covering sourdough. The key to tangy, iconic sourdough bread is a sourdough starter, and this three-hour class will tackle how to work with starters to bake fresh sourdough loaves at home.


Baking bread at home can be daunting, what with all the measuring and mixing and kneading and proofing but the end result of fresh-baked bread is well worth the effort. Columbus baker Matt Swint, the owner of Matija Breads, is eager to share his expertise. Matija Breads provides breads for Columbus restaurants including Sassafras Bakery and Little Eater. Classes will be full of sourdough snacks, skills and guidance.
Students will leave with the recipes and skills to recreate this bread at home as well as an extra dough to finish at home.

Spring Book Sale – Join the Friends of Bexley Public Library for their annual Spring Book Sale. Columbus Spring Wine Show – One night. 60+ wines. All the fun. Welcome to the 2017 Columbus Spring Wine Show! A specially-curated assortment of 60 wines from around the world will be presented to guests, from red to white, dry to sweet, sparkling to still, and everything in between! Wine Your Art Out: Signs of Spring – BYOB and  an evening of entertaining art instruction. Saturday, April 8

Ohio Made Market: Spring Fling – Join Ohio Made Market, along with 68 of the best handmade vendors in Ohio at the Creekside Convention and Event Center in Gahanna, Ohio. This is the perfect day to shop locally for any Easter or Mother’s Day needs. We aim to have gifts for every member of the family, even the furry ones.

The event will feature up to six LARGE raffle basket giveaways. Each participating vendor will be donating an item valued between $15-$20. Each basket will have up to TEN items in it that will go home with six lucky winners. There are multiple ways to enter, such as buying tickets at the door, or by “liking,” commenting on” and “sharing” our posts on Facebook.

For the Spring Fling, the ZOE organization has been selected to be the recipient of funds generated by the raffle. Their goal is to help children so they never need help again, by empowering them with training and resources to become self-reliant.

Moonlight Market on Gay St – Presented by Telhio Credit Union – The Moonlight Market is a monthly outdoor street festival / marketplace on Gay Street in Downtown Columbus. It takes place every Second Saturday from April through October. The event draws thousands of visitors each month to enjoy the brick-and-mortar businesses in the area who stay open late with extended hours and special promotions, in addition to over 100 sidewalk vendors who pop-up to sell a wide variety of artisan products. Street musicians add musical ambiance and sidewalk patios come alive with al fresco diners.

Spring Fling – a Craftin’ Outlaws handmade love affair – Craftin’ Outlaws returns for an intimate craft affair with the 5th edition of our Spring Fling. Shop from 35 creatives who are joining them  from all over the Midwest. Held at the beautiful High Line Car House in German Village, this one day handmade marketplace is a smaller representation of their holiday event.
Doors open from 12pm-5pm and general admission is FREE to Outlaws of all ages. Enjoy lunch from Sweet Carrot and wash it all down with a tasty cocktail from the bar.  To break up all the shopping you can also take in raffles and DIY experiences.
