Celebrating New Year’s Eve with the kids doesn’t have to mean keeping them up past their bedtime to see the ball drop! While that is fun in itself, there are a ton of other ways to celebrate during the day, especially with many local businesses catching on to the idea of a Noon Year’s Eve party.
What is a Noon Year’s Eve party you ask? Basically, it is a family friendly celebration where you count down to 12pm instead of midnight. A fun way to let the entire family celebrate together without messing up bedtime routines or leaving anyone out! Plus, then the kiddos will be nice and tired when it’s time for the adult celebrations to start. That’s how it works, right?

Countdown to Noon Year’s Eve 2020
What: This is a family-friendly event, allowing kids to celebrate the new year without missing their bedtime! KSM Sports Indoor Facility will be open for sports, building blocks, field games and more! We are excited to be partnering with local businesses to ensure this event is filled with fun for all!

Noon Year’s Eve with Columbus Moms Blog 2020
What: You won’t want to miss out on this family-friendly event to ring in the New Year. You can expect swim time (get that winter energy out in the 90 degree heated pool), a special appearance by Little Mermaid, crafts, tasty snacks, and a countdown to noon complete with a balloon drop. New Year Celebration at We Rock the Spectrum – Columbus
What: Open Play celebration is from 12pm-2pm with the balloon drop occurring at 1:30. Crafts will be available for your child to complete as well as light snacks.

Noon at New Year’s Eve
What: Ring in the New Year at The Little Gym! We will be having a blast with a balloon drop at noon, balloon artist/magician, activities for the family and all around fun! Big balloon drop at noon plus balloon twister and magician will be joining us!
Cost: $5 per person for enrolled members until December 1st. $15 per person after 12/1 and for non-members/members

Noon Year’s Eve at Sycamore Plaza!
What: Ring in the New Year early with a family friendly countdown to noon! Partygoers will enjoy a noontime balloon drop, crafts, games, and mocktail toast. Celebrate with us without having to stay up till midnight. This event will be hosted at both library locations.

Another great idea would be to grab some hot chocolate and go see one of the many light displays around Columbus. My favorites are The Columbus Zoo Wildlights, Conservatory Aglow at Franklin Park Conservatory, Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights or the Holiday Lights at the Columbus Commons.
