Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth until they begin school, no matter their family’s income.

A few years ago, when we lived in Westerville, we would have qualified through the Westerville Library. However, now, living in Franklin County, we didn’t qualify. Well, that is until NOW!! Woo hoo!
The Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library is starting a new chapter in early childhood literacy across Ohio. Through their partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, they’re able to put more books in the hands of Ohio’s children. They are working hard to ensure that every student enters kindergarten ready to succeed.
If you’re wondering how it works/how to sign up, it is very simple. All you have to do is head over to the website and fill out a quick enrollment form. It takes maybe five minutes. Once you fill it out, they will send a confirmation email. That’s it. If you qualify, you will start to receive a high quality, age appropriate book, addressed to them, at no cost to your family.
