Indoor Play Space at The Shops at Worthington Place

I really like the play space at The Shops at Worthington Place. It isn’t huge, but, at the same time, it is not nearly as busy as the other mall areas. There is fence around three sides of it the play area, which is great. The play area mimics at treehouse, with a few different ways to climb up and one slide. There is a also a few climbing logs and a hollowed out tree to play in. Like I said, nothing huge, but the kids always have fun!

Date: All Week
Time: Mall Hours, Monday-Saturday: 10am–8pm and Sunday: 12pm—5pm
Location: 7227 N High St, Worthington, OH 43085
Cost: Free
Tip: Order Panera Rapid Pick-up and (at the time of your choosing) your lunch will be ready for pick-up on the shelf inside! That means, no figuring out what everyone wants while waiting in line and then trying to contain everyone while they make the food! Just walk in and grab it. They do have tables surrounding the play area, too!

Central Ohio Fire Museum

The Central Ohio Fire Museum is located in a 1908 engine house that has been authentically restored. The museum offers personal guided tours. The primary focus of the museum is fire safety education. Classes are available for any age. Interactive programs, such as the 9-1-1 Simulator are used in a hands-on manner to engage visitors. The Burned Items Display is another exhibit featuring items from house fires to inform visitors of the dangers of the intense heat of fires and that anyone can be the victim of fire (including the kitchen of a local fire department).

I loved taking my nanny kids to the museum. It was so much fun. A lot of times we were the only ones there, which meant they could explore and ask all the questions they wanted! 😛 Inside they have a ton of historic items + a small play area with a truck that lights up and makes noise. Check out my blog post from my last visit for more pictures!

Location: 260 N. Fourth St. , Columbus, OH 43215-2511

Dispatch Home & Garden Show

The 64th Dispatch Home & Garden show is going on ALL week! You’ll find inspiration and ideas where you can connect with craftsmen and gurus covering every area in your home and garden. Why I added it to the list is because they have a fun collaboration with the Columbus Zoo. Gardens on the Wild Side bring to life 10 regions of the Zoo, including 10 full-size animal topiaries! You’ll have a chance to explore them all and see if you can find every animal! I think this will be so much fun for the kids and maybe you’ll walk away with a fun find for yourself!

If you go on Monday and are one of the first 2,000 guests, you will get a FREE zoo ticket!!

Date/Time: It’s going on all week! Check their website for specific hours. They’re closed Tuesday it looks like!
Location: Ohio Expo Center & State Fair: 717 E 17th Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43211
Cost: Varies. Check their website for specific pricing + how to get discounts!

Did you know that The Columbus Zoo has been offering half-priced general admission this winter? I had no idea! It started January 6th and ends February 29th, which means you still have a few days to take full advantage!
