Who needs to worry about the weather outside when you’ve got a pool like the one at Westerville Community Center? Rain or shine, it’s always swimsuit season around here! Kids and adults alike can’t get enough of the leisure pool, competition pool, and whirlpool – there’s just so much fun to be had in each of them. Trust me, once you dive into this aquatic wonderland, you won’t want to leave!
I’ve been head-over-fins for the pool at Westerville Community Center for years! This aquatic wonderland is like a hidden gem of Central Ohio, and I just can’t get enough of it. From the refreshing waters to the friendly staff, everything about this place makes a splash. It’s definitely one of my all-time favorites, and I’m not afraid to shout it from the deep end!
As if the pool at Westerville Community Center wasn’t already amazing enough, they’ve gone and kicked it up a notch with some seriously cool upgrades! For starters, they’ve totally revamped the water playground in the zero-entry pool, adding all sorts of interactive equipment like mini dueling slides, a tube slide, fountains, and even a massive 159-gallon water bucket that’s perfect for some splash-tastic fun. And that’s not all – they’ve also added a brand new pool that ranges in depth from 3 to 7 feet, and it’s kept at a balmy temperature between 88 and 90 degrees for ultimate comfort.
Get Your Swim On: What You’ll Find at the Leisure Pool
You can walk into the water via the zero-depth entry, swim some laps in the designated lanes, or just chill in the swimming area. And if you’re up for a challenge, try out the dueling slides with their flashy lights and gaming systems. You can compete with your buddies to see who’s the fastest slider and have a blast while you’re at it!
Our favorite spot is undoubtedly the kids’ area, which offers the perfect mix of fun and safety for our little ones. The zero-entry point makes it easy for them to get in and out of the water, and the water playground is simply amazing. Our kids can’t get enough of the three slides, which offer endless entertainment and thrills. They also love the interactive features such as water-squirting guns and wheels to turn, which add an extra layer of excitement to their playtime. And of course, the 159-gallon water bucket is always a hit, as they wait eagerly for it to tip over and drench them in water. All around the playground, there are plenty of water features popping out of the ground, keeping our kids entertained and happy throughout our visit.
Dive into the Latest Addition: The Warm Water Pool
The Warm Water Pool is equipped with three 20-yard lap lanes and a water current section that’s perfect for aquatic programs of all kinds, as well as open use. With depths ranging from 3-7 feet, the pool is a great choice for swimmers of all skill levels. And with a comfortably warm temperature that’s maintained between 88-90 degrees, the pool provides an ideal environment for relaxation and swimming.
Swimming Admission: Is Membership Required?
Don’t worry – you won’t miss out on the water fun even if you’re not a Westerville resident or a Community Center member! It’s open to all. You can purchase a daily pass either online or at the front desk.

If you’re an active or retired military personnel, you can enjoy a 15% discount on a monthly or annual pass for the Community Center. Simply present your military ID in-person to receive the discount. Please note that the discount will only be applied upon verification of the ID, as required for the terms and conditions of the offer.
A few notes…
- Daily admission is required for each person 3 years of age and older
- Water wings are not permitted. Other floatation devices and/or toys permitted at the discretion of
- the Manager on duty.
- Pool area is restricted to those with a pass or paid daily admission
- Children 6 years of age and under must have an adult in the water with them at all times
- Daily admissions are only good for the specific date you choose
- Daily admissions are non-refundable / non-transferable
