Discover the Hidden Gems of Inniswood Metro Park in Columbus

As a Columbus resident, one of my favorite places to visit with my kids is the Inniswood Metro Park. Located in Westerville, this 121-acre Metro Garden is not your typical park. It offers a wide range of activities for everyone, including biking trails, streams, woodlands, wildflowers, and over 2,000 species of plants.

But what makes Inniswood Metro Park stand out to me is how kid-friendly it is. There are so many hidden gems throughout the park that are perfect for children of all ages. For example, there’s a hidden treehouse, a Sister’s Garden with a playhouse for kids, mini waterfalls near The Sisters Garden, and a horticultural reference collection building that also hosts monthly art exhibits and educational programs.

One of the most exciting things about the park is their program for kids. If they attend five of their programs, they get a special badge that they can proudly show off. This includes programs at any of the Metro Parks in the area.

There’s so much to explore and discover in Inniswood Metro Park, and it’s a great place for families to spend a day outside. It’s no wonder we’ve fallen in love with it more and more each year. So, check out their website for more details and take a look at some of our pictures from our different visits. I hope you feel inspired to visit and discover the hidden gems of Inniswood Metro Park for yourself!

Hopefully you feel inspired to visit!

During the summer, they offer great programs here! It is located right in front of The Sister’s Garden and the pathway back to the treehouse.
