Rusty Bucket

Rusty Bucket is one of my favorite spots to eat at. I am not one to visit the same restaurant over and over again because we have such a variety in Columbus, I want to try them all. However, I will go to Rusty Bucket five times a week if need be! Ha! I LOVE IT! The atmosphere. The people. The employees. The food. All of it is on point at all times.

I love when you walk into a restaurant and you can instantly tell the employees love being there. That’s exactly what you find Rusty Bucket. The employees love their co-workers. They love the food. They love being there. I think that speaks very highly of a place. With 24 restaurants, 10 being in Columbus, I would say they are doing something right.

On their menu, which is all made from scratch, I promise there is something for everyone – even having a special gluten friendly menu and a wonderful menu for the kiddos! Listed below are a few of my favorite things to order.

Hummus, something lite to start with. Served with grilled pita, marinate tomato & cucumber salad and a side of tzatziki sauce

Double Nickel Salad: Greens topped with our special dressing, chopped bacon, blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes and red onion. This is my FAVORITE salad! Picture Credit: Rusty Bucket Website

Deep-Fried Pickles: Batter-dipped spears with ranch dressing for dippin’

Spinach con Queso – a blend of spinach, white wine and cheeses; served pipping hot with tortilla chips.

Pork Potstickers: Pan-seared, with sweet chili and ponzu sauces.

Bourbon Raspberry Smash – Muddled with fresh picked mint leaves, ripened raspberries and house-made simple syrup. Fused together with hand-squeezed lemon juice & fresh strawberry puree.

Pink Gin Fizz: Rogue Pink Gin, fresh lemon juice, sparking water with a Pinot Noir float.

Mahi Mahi Tacos: the fish so nice they named it twice, served blackened, topped with our fresh citrus cabbage slaw, sour cream drizzle, fresh cilantro and served Cuban style with rice & beans.

Veggie Pizza – Roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, provolone, mushrooms, bell peppers, red onion, banana peppers, green olives and spinach.

Juicy Lucy – happy hour only – Two of their fresh hand pattied burgers topped with caramelized onions and American cheese on a toasted sesame seed bun.

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich – Panko crusted chicken breast slathered in Joe’s regular sauce, topped with crumbled blue cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato and mayo.

Sticky Bun Bread Pudding – Baked custard & cinnamon bread topped with caramel and candied pecans, served with Edy’s vanilla bean ice cream.

Triple Chocolate Cake – Ooey Gooey deliciousness! Homemade chocolate cake topped with Edy’s vanilla bean ice cream and caramel.
