An Evening For Yourself – Join Simi Botic and Rachel Kerr of The Beauty Boost on Tuesday, March 7th at 7pm. Start your evening with a 30-minute vinyasa flow designed to spark creativity and create mind body connection. Simi will follow with a 45-minute open discussion of goal setting + journaling. Leave finding the motivation and clarity to begin or continue taking excellent care of your whole self! Light Snacks + Tea will be provided. Be sure to bring a yoga mat, water, and journal!

Women’s Day Fundraiser & Shoe Drive – In celebration of International Women’s Day, Firefly Play Cafe doors will be open and admission will be free with a contribution to Dress For Success Columbus as a way to show support to all the amazing women in our lives! Donation requests include: New or very gently used shoes size 9 and up, new and unused personal care items (travel shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush, mascara, etc) and cash (no donations via credit cards).

Summer Camp & Activities Expo – Over 70 organizations offering all types of summer activities and camps for kids of all ages will be at Westerville North High School! On-site registration avaiable for many activities. FREE admission.

Crafting Your Signature Drink – Free yourself from cocktail recipes! Participants in this class will learn by doing the basics of bar tending and mixology. You’ll practice master recipes and techniques, hear how central Ohio’s Watershed Distillery develops flavors, and then create a signature cocktail. The class will be led by Grant Bain, Watershed Distillery’s central Ohio sales representative and board member of the United States Bartenders’ Guild. Testify: Journeys of Women in Story & Song – Natalie’s presents “Testify: Journeys of Women in Story and Song”, a special program to celebrate International Women’s Day. This production will feature the amazing talents of Tia Harris, Debra James Tucker, Donna Mogavero, Cynthia Amoah, and Paisha Thomas, five extraordinary women who will share their unique experiences through the power of music and spoken word. The History of the Underground Railroad in Ohio – Learn more about Ohio’s role in the Underground Railroad with Ohio Humanities Council speaker Cathy Nelson. Nelson’s extensive research on this subject has won numerous awards and widespread recognition. Offered in partnership with Kelton House Museum & Garden. This is one of three programs exploring themes from the works of Colson Whitehead, including his newest book The Underground Railroad, before his visit to Bexley on April 28.

COSI After Dark – a 21+Event: Puzzles – Enter the mind boggling world of puzzles at COSI After Dark! Work together or challenge yourself to solve more than 100 quirky puzzles, brainteasers, and interactive mazes in our newest traveling exhibition, Mindbender Mansion and Amazing Mazes. Then, the challenges continue throughout the building with hands-on activities demonstrations. Test your wits with puzzle and strategy games provided by the Columbus Area Boardgaming Society, explore some hidden gems around the building with a scavenger hunt, and try your hand at a bar trivia contest. Also, see if you have what it takes to make it out of one of several themed escape room experiences courtesy of Room Escape Adventures Columbus and Trapped Columbus Escape Room(spots are limited). Star Wars vs Star Trek Trivia – Test your knowledge of two of the most loved franchises in sci-fi history. Trivia master Matt Goshert of Cavalier will challenge your brain to dig deep to remember the names, places and history of the world of the force and the prime directive.Two special limited run beers will be available for this event: Jackie O’s Java the Stout and Shmaltz’s Klingon Imperial Porter. Both will make you consider leaving the Federation for the Dark Side. Expect some interesting prizes and promotional material! Starts at 7:00pm.

Friday, March 10

Free Renovation Guided Tour – Take a guided tour around the Greater Columbus Convention Center and explore some of the incredible changes and enhancements. A light snack and beverages will be available as well. Admission is FREE. Meeting Place: The Connector. Best entrance is the front entrance by the High Street drop off area doors. Starts at 3:30 pm.

Columbus Underground Whiskey Tasting at Park Street Cantina – Join Columbus Underground for a night of Whiskey sampling at Park Street Cantina. With over 100 different types of Whiskey to choose from, the only thing to worry about is how to decide!? Two types of tickets are available for the event. Taster tickets are $20 and give guests access to the event at 6pm plus 8 tasting tickets, each good for one sample. Connoisseur tickets are $30 and include 8 regular tasting tickets and 2 Connoisseur tickets that can be used for top tier event exclusive whiskeys. Connoisseurs will also get exclusive access at 5pm before the event officially begins for more time to talk to brand reps and to be first in line to get samples.

Square Dance at Stratford Ecological Center – Stratford invites you to kick up your heels! Join them for a traditional hoe down square dance, called by Cheryl Hagerty. Dances will be basic enough for the beginner but varied enough for the experienced dancer. Some novelty and folk dances will be provided between tips. This would be a great opportunity for school aged children and their families to enjoy an evening of dancing together. Fee is $5/person, pay at the door.

Brunch Cocktails Pop Up Market – Good news for the brunch scene! The Rossi is now serving BRUNCH every weekend at 10am. On March 11th, they are having their first Pop-Up Market. Sip on Aperol Spritz, grab some French Toast and buy some local goodies. 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Old Worthington Rhinegeist Brewery Brunch Crawl – Bars and restaurants in Old Worthington are combining forces with Rhinegeist Brewery for the ultimate beer brunch. It’s very simple. You “crawl” around Old Worthington and visit these businesses at your leisure between 11am and 5pm. If you’re hungry, get brunch along the way (reservations might be necessary for some restaurants if offered). You should be able to find different beers with each stop. You can pick the time, start, order, and finish as you wish between 11am and 5pm. For each location where you enjoy a Rhinegeist, you can get one ticket per person per location. They will have giveaways at the end of the afternoon when you meet up at The Pub Out Back at 5pm.

Liberty Tree Artisan Market – Join Liberty Tree Artisan Market for their 2nd Annual Artisan Market! There will be over 40 artists, crafters, and makers, as well as smoothies and kettle corn. Kids can visit the free make and take craft station and photo booth. Raffle tickets are available for purchase to win items donated by our talented vendors. Admission is a donation of your choice. All proceeds go to the Liberty Tree Elementary School PTO.

Too Many Cooks: A Picture Perfect Brunch – We all love brunch and we all take photos of our food. So, why not learn to do both better?? Too many Cooks welcomes Bleu & Fig and Autumn Theodore Photography for a special Sunday of delicious tips a tricks for the best brunch you’ve ever posted on insta! For your $7 donation to Wild Goose, expect amazing brunch bites and plating ideas provided by Bleu & Fig Chef Brooke Kinsey and then, Autumn Theodore will share her professional tips on capturing the deliciousness in a photo. Any cameras welcome – even iPhones!

Maple Syrup Festival at Lutheran Memorial Camp – Treat yourself to a day filled with maple syrup, all you can eat pancakes, maple infused sausage as well as live music performed by a local band. You can purchase donuts that are cooked over an open fire, sassafras tea and Real Maple Syrup. Purchase home baked goods or take a stroll around camp. Hop on a hay ride to the sugar shack and learn about the Maple Syrup evaporation process. You can also choose to relax and enjoy a conversation around the fire and connect with new and old friends. This annual tradition is a fun and welcoming family and community festival themed in maple syrup. Funds are raised at the festival for summer camperships and awareness of what camp has to offer.
