Rockmill Tavern, maybe you’ve heard of it, maybe you haven’t? I am sure you have heard of Rockmill Brewery, right? Located in Lancaster. The spot with the old church and the magic water? If you haven’t, you must go. It is GORGEOUS. They have a wonderful tasting experience + you can bring your own food. Perfect day trip. Anyways, back to the tavern, located in the Brewery District. I have been once, just for drinks and loved it. I knew I had to get back. Luckily, the opportunity presented itself this week. The girls and I went to ‘Backstage Bistro’ for the roasting of Disney heroes and it happens to be right next door. While we didn’t have a lot of time, we made the most of it aka ordering the sandwich that I have been dying to try. The sandwich I’ve heard is “the best chicken sandwich you’ll ever have.”
Well, I am here to report the the rumor is true. The ‘spicy chicken sandwich’ is insanely good 👉🏽 bread and butter zucchini, urfa mayo, brioche, spicy honey butter. One bite in and I guarantee you’ll agree. The (not too spicy) breast is thick and juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside – just the way it should be. The real winning combination, is the spicy honey butter and the soft, brioche bun. The sandwich literally melts in your mouth. Make sure to add on a side off fries & apple fritters
WE SAT OUT ON THEIR PATIO AS THE SUN WAS SETTING. GORGEOUS. THE INSIDE IS JUST AS GORGEOUS – SOPHISTICATED, RUSTIC, SWANKY, ROMANTIC. JUST LOVELY.
