Hemingway’s Nook

I’ve found a new favorite coffee (and shop) to add to the list. The Cafe Bon Bon from Hemingway’s Coffee Nook is everything I didn’t know I wanted in a drink – four shots of espresso, sweetened condensed milk, and ice….shaken, not stirred, then dusted with cinnamon!

Wait. I just noticed the ‘Sylvia Beach’s xxx’ and the ‘Le Eiffel Tower’ — dang, there drink menu is PERfect!!!!!!!

Cafe Bon Bon. I may have ordered it because of the name, but, as soon as I read the description – I knew I was going to love.

If you aren’t familiar, Hemingway’s Coffee Book is an independently owned 1920’s Parisian style coffee shop located in Downtown Columbus, located behind the Columbus Commons inside the “175 On The Park” office building at the corner of S 3rd & Town St.

Seriously the CUTEST shop with a cozy, French atmosphere. “I’ve always enjoyed Earnest Hemingway and Paris in the 20s… that’s when all the artists came together as a community of writers, painters, and poets that swapped ideas in different cafes. Earnest Hemingway was probably the biggest voice of that time, sort of their ringleader. I want to hopefully take people back to that.” – Theresa Federer, Owner

Bonus: It is home to a hidden gem of a patio, which is shaded, seats 18 and even has a view of The Columbus Commons stage. Plus, they have incredible staff and free wi-fi.
